BPC-157 is a gastric-derived pentadecapeptide studied across more than 300 peer-reviewed papers covering tendon, ligament, muscle, nerve, and gastrointestinal tissue repair. It is one of the most broadly studied recovery-focused peptides in the published literature.

Mechanism
Research attributes BPC-157's effects to upregulation of growth hormone receptors in tendon fibroblasts and promotion of angiogenesis at injury sites, alongside modulation of the nitric oxide system that governs regional blood flow and inflammation. This systemic nitric oxide effect may explain findings in tissue distant from the site of administration.
