GHK-Cu: A Research Guide

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper tripeptide present in human plasma that declines with age. It is studied for its unusually broad gene-expression effects across tissue repair, antioxidant defense, and anti-inflammatory pathways.

Mechanism

Genome analysis in cited research confirms simultaneous activation of more than 4,000 genes linked to tissue remodeling, DNA repair, and stem cell activation, alongside suppression of over 2,000 genes linked to inflammation and aging. The copper ion is also essential to lysyl oxidase function, the enzyme responsible for properly cross-linking collagen and elastin fibers during tissue repair.
